Grab a bite of insight and join DMA staff, artists, and local scholars to explore the Museum's collection and exhibitions during lunchtime gallery talks. 

Late Night Talk: Rediscovering a 2,000-Year-Old Computer

Friday, October 19, 9:00 p.m.

Archaeologist Dr. John Hale will tell the story behind the rediscovery of the world's first analog computer, found in a 2,000-year-old shipwreck off the coast of Greece. Find out how this ancient computer worked and what it was used for. 


Saturday Spotlight Tours

Saturdays, 2:00 p.m.

Get to know the DMA through a Saturday Spotlight Tour. DMA docents will be on-site to lead free tours introducing visitors to the highlights of our collection. Tours will depart from the Visitor Services Desk at 2:00 p.m. every Saturday.


The Forum Lecture featuring Tom Phifer

Tuesday, October 23, 7:00 p.m.

Join The Forum for a lecture with Thomas Phifer, FAIA. Phifer is an internationally acclaimed architect whose many projects include the Klyde Warren Park Pavilion and Savor Restaurant in Dallas, the Brochstein Pavilion at Rice University, the North Carolina Museum of Art, the Corning Museum of Glass, and the just-opened Pavilions for the Glenstone Foundation outside Washington, DC. Phifer was also the Design Architect for the team that completed The Rachofsky House, a Dallas icon of architecture and art.

DMA Members-Only Tours: Fall Contemporary Exhibition Highlights

Join us on selected Thursdays and Saturdays this fall and winter for exclusive docent-led tours just for DMA Members. Tours will last one hour and will focus on new rotations of our permanent collection and special exhibitions currently on view.

Please register at the DMA Membership Desk at the start of each tour. Space is limited and available on a first-come, first-served basis.
