Explore the DMA’s encyclopedic collection with tours, music, talks, and art activities inspired by South America, ancient Greece, Asia, Europe, and America.

Happy Hour Performance featuring Latin Sound Scape
6:00 p.m., Atrium
Kick off the evening with an exciting mix of music from South America, Cuba, and Mexico. Blending instrumental and vocal Latin music, this trio features Yoban Quijones on guitar and vocals, David Lee Schloss on tenor sax, soprano sax, and flute, and Jorge Ginorio on percussion. 
 
Late Night Creations: Wonder Wall
6:00–10:00 p.m., Art Studio, Center for Creative Connections (C3)
Celebrate the Wonders of the World with one of the most influential inventions—printmaking! Use Styrofoam and ink to create a representation of what you think makes the world wonderful and contribute to our community Wonder Wall. All ages welcome, and all materials provided.

Go behind the scenes of the popular website Atlas Obscura with founder Dylan Thuras. Hear how this crowdsourced atlas of the world's hidden wonders came about, and discover some favorite entries from the last 10 years.
 
Nature Walk Family Tour
7:00 p.m., Meet at the Center for Creative Connections entrance
Leaves, flowers, rocks, and trees—art + nature? Yes, please! Search works of art in the collection for signs of Mother Nature’s take on the wonders of the world in this interactive family tour led by Museum staff.

Experience a true flamenco performance with Ida Y Vuelta Flamenco. Led by Julia Alcántara, a Dallas native and local dance favorite, this performance will feature local and international world-class musicians and dancers who were guests at the Oak Cliff Flamenco Festival.
 
Pop-Up Art Spot
8:00–10:30 p.m., Level 4, Ancient Art of the Americas Galleries
Looking for a hands-on experience in the DMA galleries? Visit the Pop-Up Art Spot in the Ancient Art of the Americas Galleries to pick up a passport and begin your travels to earn activity stamps! Explore shapely structures and golden portraits, or participate in a scavenger hunt, all inspired by nearby works of art.

Late Night Talk: Rediscovering a 2,000-Year-Old Computer
9:00 p.m., Horchow Auditorium 
Archaeologist Dr. John Hale will tell the story behind the rediscovery of the world's first analog computer, found in a 2,000-year-old shipwreck off the coast of Greece. Find out how this ancient computer worked and what it was used for.

Listen to traditional Chinese music performed by members of the Dallas Huayun Chinese Orchestra. Featuring Anita Hu, Xiaoyu Ma, and Daxin Chen, the trio will perform on the guzheng, yangqin, and erhu. Dedicated to Sino-American cultural exchange, the Dallas Huayun Orchestra is the most prominent Chinese music group in the DFW area and has performed at events throughout Texas.
 
Ceremonial Bar featuring DJ Derek Lynn 
9:30–11:30 p.m., Outside the Flora Street Entrance 
Sip a cocktail outside at the Ceremonial Bar and listen to DJ Derek Lynn spin a soulful blend of toe-tappers while enjoying the fall weather.

Enjoy a fun mix of World Music from Daniel Pardo and his band. Daniel Pardo’s unique sound is a direct reflection of his energetic and passionate personality. His philosophy is to experience every last element of life, and this is evident in his music, with its upbeat, fusion sound.

Insomniac Tour: The Tides of Mont Saint Michel
10:30 p.m., Meet at the main Visitor Services Desk
UT Dallas Research Fellow Paul Galvez will discuss a newly acquired painting by Paul Signac that captures one of Europe’s architectural wonders in hundreds of tiny brushstrokes.

Late Night Film: The Eagle Huntress
10:15 p.m., Horchow Auditorium
The critically acclaimed 2017 documentary The Eagle Huntress follows Aisholpan, a 13-year-old girl, as she trains to become the first female eagle hunter in 12 generations of her Kazakh family. Set in the breathtaking landscapes of the Mongolian steppe, the film captures the beauty and artistry of this long-held tradition and Aisholpan’s moving story of determination and bravery as she ultimately competes against 70 of the most accomplished male Kazakh eagle hunters. This film is rated G (2016, 101 min.).
