Happy Hour Performance featuring Diana Dill Savage
6:00–7:00 p.m., Atrium
Start your evening with a performance of French music, from classics “La Vie en Rose” to popular songs from LeGrand’s jazz operas The Umbrellas of Cherbourg and Les Demoiselles de Rochefort, sung by Diana Dill Savage.
Art Demo: Silk Scarf Marbling with Dallas Silk Art 
6:00–8:00 p.m., Tech Lab, Center for Creative Connections (C3)
Watch Dallas Silk Art create intricate marbled silk scarves in the Tech Lab and enter a raffle for a chance to make your own scarf. At 6:30 p.m. the artists will talk about their work and the history of scarf marbling. 
Late Night Creations: Patch It Up! 
6:00–10:00 p.m., Art Studio, Center for Creative Connections (C3) 
Create your own custom iron-on patch! Layer fabric together to turn your designs into wearable art. All ages welcome, and all materials provided.
DMA Member Bar

Artist Talk: Silk Scarf Marbling with Dallas Silk Art 
6:30 p.m., Tech Lab, C3
Drop by the Tech Lab for a brief talk about the history of scarf marbling with Dallas Silk Art and then stay for a demonstration.
Film: The Drawings of Christian Dior
6:30 p.m., C3 Theater
The Drawings of Christian Dior examines the work and lasting impact of Christian Dior’s 10 years as head of the House of Dior. Featuring original footage and sketches from the Dior archives, along with interviews with current and former Dior staff, fashion historians, and friends of Christian Dior, the film sheds new light on the designer’s life, personality, and remarkable creativity. This film is not rated (2018, 52 min.).

Late Night Talk: Dior and His Decorators
7:00 p.m., Horchow Auditorium
Author Maureen Footer will talk about her book Dior and His Decorators, which examines the work of Victor Grandpierre and Georges Geffroy, the designers behind Dior’s first couture house. With a trove of evocative vintage photographs, Footer will discuss the part these designers played in launching the Dior brand by creating the backdrop for his New Look. The talk will be followed by a book signing outside the DMA Store.

Listen to music inspired by the catwalk and the world of fashion spun by DJ Derek Lynn as you sip a drink out on the patio or grab a bite to eat from Socca, our Mediterranean cafe.
Art Demo: Draping with Petit Atelier 
7:00–9:00 p.m., Level 3 Landing 
Watch Mario Gallegos and Michael Crigger of Petit Atelier as they demonstrate fashion draping on mannequins. At 7:30 p.m. the designers will talk about their work and some basics of fashion design.
Pop-Up Art Spot
7:00–9:30 p.m., Level 3 Landing
Looking for a hands-on experience in the DMA galleries? Visit the Pop-Up Art Spot to experience art in a new way. Look closely at nearby works of art and explore what it would be like to be in an artwork through drawing, writing, and listening.

Join fashion designers Mario Gallegos and Michael Crigger of Petit for a brief talk about their work and the basics of fashion design and then stay for a demonstration.

Creativity Challenge
7:30 p.m., Level 4, American Art Galleries
Get ready to walk the runway in a fast-paced making challenge just for families! Use everyday art supplies like paper, tape, foil, and more to create wearable fashion. Team sign-up will begin at 7:15 pm on Level 4 near the Red Elevators and is limited to the first ten teams.

Main Stage Performance featuring Julie Slim & Rendevous
8:00–9:00 p.m., Atrium
Enjoy the warm, precise vocals of Lebanese-American multilingual French jazz vocalist Julie Slim. Slim infuses her multicultural and multilingual background into her music, whether improvising or interpreting a song. Founded by Julie Slim in 2013, this band incorporates the musical and cultural influences in her life. With the mentorship and collaboration of the Grammy-nominated jazz pianist Dr. James Polk, she created new arrangements for French and American standards that she has known since her childhood.
Drop-In Workshop: Embroidery with Erin Frisch 
8:00–10:00 p.m., Level 4 Landing 
Learn basic embroidery techniques inspired by Dior: From Paris to the World with artist Erin Frisch and walk away with a sampler card featuring your one-of-a-kind designs. At 8:30 p.m. Frisch will talk about her work and give more detailed instruction.

Late Night Film: Dior and I

Frédéric Tcheng's 2015 documentary Dior and I provides an exclusive look inside the Dior atelier as new artistic director Raf Simons designs his first haute couture collection. This film is rated R for language (2014, 90 min.).

Late Night After Hours featuring La Pompe 
10:00–10:45 p.m., Atrium
Named for the driving rhythm characteristic of gypsy jazz, La Pompe transports you to a Parisian cafe with French classics. 


DMA Cafe
Relax and enjoy the entertainment in the Atrium while having a drink or a bite to eat from 6:00 to 10:00 p.m. Bar service is available until 10:30 p.m. 
Socca Mediterranean Cafe
Enjoy a vibrant al fresco dining experience until 10:00 p.m. on Eagle Family Plaza, with tantalizing dishes that are naturally gluten free.
